It was in 1938 that Harlow Crooks was awarded a contract to develop a mast assembly to be mounted on a new machine designed to move material in ship yards by the U.S. Navy. This was the beginning of our Rough Terrain Forklift industry. Harlo has maintained leadership in this industry by working with many of the major tractor companies in America and by continually improving the design and quality of its forklifts and forklift components.
